Ok, I do plan a little too far ahead...

The very first gift I can remember from my hubby, then my boyfriend, was actually a vision book. It was a sketch book for me to write down my vision of the future, and whatever we wanted to achieve.

Being quite an artist myself, I would then make my own scribblings of THE ABUNDANT LIFE. Funnily I had things drawn which at this point I still can't see myself doing, for example, adopting 10 children. Lol.

In the "scribble master plan" we would acquire lots of properties in Singapore and move to Perth in 2042, when we are towards our retirement age. Then again, we are already moving in Canberra in a couple of months from now! Things don't really work out as planned.

People may find that I take the fun out of life because I'd stick to my plan. And maybe that's my way of being focused.

So, what the THE DREAM? I am looking to be self-sufficient, and to raise a family in a comfortable but unobnoxious way. I do have a specific figure on my ideal passive income. For many others, THE DREAM is to "achieve financial freedom", but what good is that, if it doesn't propel you into the purpose you and/or God has set for you? Are you seriously going to holiday for the next 20 years of your life, just because you are living on $30,000 passive income per month? There must be something BEYOND that!

I don't really dream of becoming famous but I like setting goals for myself and pushing my limits to see if I can achieve them. It could be how God wired me, and my hubby is my greatest fan and supporter. Xoxo to Vic!

In any case, what I have learnt from the past few years in my 20s is that priorities change. WE CHANGE. Sometimes it may be for someone else, yet most of the time it is for ourselves. There is this self-actualization part of us that changes us bit by bit. We may have in mind a certain ideal as "THE DREAM" and later on realise that it isn't all that important, but how would we know if we hadn't pursued it as aggressively and as persistently as we did?

And then today I say, KEEP ON CHASING. Chase those mistakes which you'd regret when your priorities shift. They make you know YOU. Chase those things you perceive as beautiful and good for you, or the people around you. They DEFINE you. Cos life is one huge mystery maze, you just gotta keep moving, even if there may be a chance that you'd end up right where you started.
